RESEARCH ON THE SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AMONG THE MOKEN AND MOKLEN OF SOUTHERN THAILAND

This research aimed at studying worldviews, knowledge, and practices relating to reproductive health of the Moken and Moklen in 5 communities, namely Moken communities on Lao Island and Chang Island in Ranong Province, Moklen communities in Nam Khem community, Thab Tawan community and Thung Wa community.  The main issues are needs, obstacles and concerns in accessing and receiving reproductive health services.  The last part of the book laid out recommendations on promoting reproductive health which is culturally sensitive and appropriate for the Moken and the Moklen.
